Special Weekends at the 2009 Pumpkin Festival:

New for 2009! Corn Maze by Flashlight! Bring your own flashlight and join us on Friday and Saturday evenings, Oct. 16-31. Hours 8pm - 10pm. Admission $5 in advance or $6 at the gate (not included in daytime gate admission). Also available: wagon rides, bonfire, marshmallows and mini donuts.

Sept. 13 (Sunday) - Opening Day! Grandparents get in free with each paying grandchild.

Sept. 19-20 - NEW! Food Shelf Weekend, $2 off admission with a food shelf donation. Paper products, and kid-friendly foods especially needed! (No cans, please.)

Sept. 26-27 - NEW! Cornstalk Creating Contest. See what you can create with 30 cornstalks - groups or individual! Can be anything. Will be judged on creativity. Fun! Cash prizes. Judging at 3pm.

Oct. 3-4 - Pumpkin Painting Contest with prizes. Judging at 3pm.

Oct. 10-11 - Country Lake Fiddlers "From Pennock Way"

Oct. 15-16 - Thursday/Friday - MEA, open 11:01am - 5:01pm

Oct. 18-19 - Scarecrow-Making Contest, with prizes. Bring old clothes and a pair of nylons for the head. Judging at 3pm.

Oct. 25-26 - Regular activities all day! (see daily schedule below)

Oct. 31 - Regular activities all day! (see daily schedule below)

Nov. 1 - NEW! Pumpkin Mania Day - recycle your Halloween pumpkins! Contests for tossing, bowling, dropping and smashing! Also, free seeds for roasting.


Daily Schedule

1pm-1:30pm Swinging in the Hayloft (ages up to 8th grade only)
1:30pm Trebuchet (Pumpkin Chucker Flinger Thinger)
1:35pm Coin Scramble with prizes! (In the Horse Course, of course!)
2pm Play in the Large Tin Shed Theatre - "Cinderella and Friends"
2:30pm Ag Olympics with prizes! Sign up by the windmill.
3:30pm Trebuchet (Pumpkin Chucker Flinger Thinger)
3:45pm-4:15pm Swinging in the Hayloft (ages up to 8th grade only)
