Today there are few farms to visit and experience. But the Nelson Farm still welcomes hundreds of visitors each year and has a rich heritage. Our big red barn was built in 1900 by 30 families in one day with notch and peg construction. Our farm house was built one year after the barn in 1901. The District forester said we even have trees that are over 300 years old.

Each Fall, we have a big Pumpkin Festival. People come from all over the region to spend a day with their families, picking pumpkins, riding ponies, taking hay rides, feeding farm animals, walking by the lake, and of course, finding their way through the Corn Maze!

We also offer School Field Trips and Elementary School Presentations to help kids experience the farm in a hands-on way.
